We, a group of Boğaziçi (Bosphorus) Universitystudents, issue a periodical, namely Kampüsten Dünyaya (From The Campus to TheWorld). The purpose of this periodical project is to issue and investigate acountry that suffers cruelty. Through our study, we firstly try to becomeconscious ourselves, and then share what we learn with primarily our peers andthen as much as people we can reach through our periodical, so raise awarenessabout the issue. Our other equally important purpose is that: we distribute ourperiodical in exchange for a certain amount of donation, and we use the moneywe have after distribution for orpans of the country we discuss, and weundertake their needs and expenditures for one year.
The first issue of ourperiodical Kampüsten Dünyaya (From The Campus to The World) was Palestine. Wehave handed all the revenue we have had from the periodical to IHH (TheFoundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief)Orpan-Supporter Family Project. By now, we have undertook 13 orpans' needs.inshaallah, as long as we continue to sell our periodicals, this number willraise. We gave start to thepreparations of the second issue of our periodical, Kampüsten Dünyaya, which isa competely student-based movement. This time, we issue Africa and will try toreveal a study that is worth to archive as the first one. We again are going todenote the revenue we will have from the sales of our periodical to a projectsubjecting Africa.
Within the scope of oursecond issue, we are going to organize a cartoon contest for the benefit ofAfrica. The subject of the constest is 'Hunger, Obesity, Death'. The jurymen ofour contest are Hasan Aycın, Dağıstan Çetinkaya and Turan Dertli. We willanounce the contest through the world via many channels. We will anounce thenames that come out in the competition in a program that we will organize againfor the benefit of Africa.
